Dr. Rima Alexander is a lifelong learner and a distinguished educator, which makes education excellence the highlight of her journey. Rima is highly educated and holds four academic degrees, including a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Master’s in Education, and two bachelor’s degrees in science.
Dr. Alexander has a background in clinical settings as she worked in a hospital blood bank. To nurture her combined love for science and education, she returned to academia to pursue a master’s degree and a doctorate in education. Dr. Alexander has taught science at both middle and high school levels. She was promoted as a science specialist and Campus Improvement Specialist (CIS) in 2008 in recognition of her leadership potential. Her life experiences include hospital care, medical malpractice, caregiving for a loved one battling stage IV pancreatic cancer, and the loss of two children in a tragic car accident.
Facing complex realities, overcoming grief, and breaking through the shackles of medical challenges, today, we see Dr. Alexander being the voice for those who can’t speak up against the treacherous and torturous systems of our society.
